On Thursday a group of students went to Inners Common to compete in the Inter-Intermediate Hockey Tournament. As the students were all excitedly putting on thei gear they finally got on the bus.
It was around 9:30 when we had our first game against Peachgrove. As it was our first game we were all getting the hand of what posiion we were playing and lost. We still had high hope for the rest of the tournament.
In our second game we came up against Berkley. We were so close to getting a goal
but they really have good defines and lost that game too. Our second to last
game was against Morrinsville we finally got a goal and everyone was screaming
with excitement and then as soon as we ran to half way and the referee blew his
whistle they slip pass as and got a goal but we still had a tie. And our last
game was against Fairfield we lost that game too but we still had a fun
exciting day.

I didn't get to attend the tournament on the day but your summary of what happened is excellent and it really helps understand what happened on the day. I know there would have been some outstanding players there at the tournament and I think that you would have to be pleased with the overall result and have a good warm up to Winter Olympics next term.
