Bomb on planet Mars

“Come on mate a bit faster’’ as sweat dribbles down my face the stress of saving the enormous red planet Mars from the deadly nuclear  bomb erupted like a horrible. So I yell at them to be quiet and sprint as fast as a Bugatti Veyron to the other side of the planet. Suddenly I see a strange light come towards me then I viewed wrinkly green skin. Shocked with fear the alien in a loud voice yelled “go back and save mars” so I saved mars and we had a really really really big celebration

It was the year 1900 it was an unfortunate year as the war took the lives of millions of men fighter jets armed with bombs that go kablooey accelerating at speeds that will leave you flabergassded. Boats with weapons of mass destruction destroying helpless scared countries. As I charge like a raging bull I fire my Uzi through the bodies of the revolting army named NEXUS. The sound of boats colliding together are like long sharp nails scratching on a chalk board. Missiles roaring a loud boom. To this very day solders haunt the scary boat

The children ran towards the paints and started causing chaos. Paint was going everywhere; splashes of paint were on the floor, die was dripping from the ceiling, it was just a huge mess. Imagine what grandma would think if she walked in. The chaos continued, and every time the paint hit the wall or floor it would make a huge THUMP. “Children what are you doing there?” The children stopped suddenly know that if grandma came up, they would be in big trouble. “Ahh nothing grandma” “Well you’re making a hell of a noise, I’m coming up… OOOOO MYYYYYY GOOSSHH!!!!!!”

Nets

We stared off with skecting a net for a 3D shape. We then stared to cut out some shape nets that Mr Willis already printed off for us. The shapes that we were cutting out we're pyramids, octahedrons, and truncated tetrahedron. Once the shapes were cut out we needed to glue the flaps and stick them together creating a 3 dimensional shape.

Winter Olympics 2013

This year Winter Olympics was held over one week from the 12^th of August, to the 16^th.

Totara Springs Christian Camp was the venue that held the sports camp. Totara Springs Camp is near Matamata on 288 Taihoa road. At Totara Springs they have rugby, soccer, hockey, touch, and softball fields, along with a kayaking stream, gym, swimming pool, and cage soccer unit. 

Overall there were 24 sports, many were physical and many were not. The overall time was reduced in a game and how many was on the field (depending on the sport).

Melville came first in 8 sports and followed it up with 8 Silvers, which was a great achievement for the kids. Melville made 14 semi’s overall, they may not have come first in all but they put in a huge effort.  Melville also come first in other sports that did not need semi’s and final’s.

Even though I got injured just before Sports camp I really enjoyed coming and watching the squad do their best and try and win. I did compete; I competed in darts and petonque which Bunnerath and I came second, I felt pretty proud of myself for still being able to come second. 

All the kids had a great time at sports camp and most of them are looking forward to next year but for all the year 8’s who are leaving we’d all like to say thank you for helping make this a great experience.

This just in…

King Kong has broken from the P.M.C.J.F (prime mates central jail facility). Prints have been found on a secluded beach on the eastern side of New Mexico. Reporter Ali Williams is on the scene,

“There has been numerous phone calls come in due to this major incident, and many people are worried for their children, scientists though have ensured that all children will be safe and secure.”

Surveillance cameras caught the event on tape. Cameras showed that Kong, break from his enclosure, and then made his way along the beach leaving a massive path of mass destruction.

The rusty gate creaked open as we ran through like mad men possessed.

My breath was low and we had to stop, the night guard was coming, and he was coming fast. It was over he had us.

‘You’re in for it now, lucky for there’s some freshly dug holes waiting for you, is there any last words to put on your gravestones!!”  

100 Word Challenge

The garden, a lovely, wonderful place of joy, but this garden is a bloody war zone. The allies were the humans, who were picking their strawberries, and the enemies were the birds. Suddenly the birds swooped down and attacked the strawberry plants with their ferocious golden sharp beaks, munching away on the strawberry juice. The adults had to act fast before the dirty birds munch away all of the strawberry plants. The adults fought back with sticks and stones which were working, the birds were getting scared so they flew back into the dreadful forest filled with dark mysterious creatures.

Soccer Tournament

Melville Intermediate boys football team was lead on to the field by Te Auripo Manguatu, and James Nove, on the 30th of May 2013.

Melville played a great first game, but having to play straight away had them a bit shaky out of the starting gates, losing to Fairfeild 1-0.

The boys lost there second game 2-0 against T.A, which had the boys spirits at an all time low, knowing that they win their last two games made them start thinking what do they have to do to win?

SMASH! a surperb strike by oue captain Te Auripo left us 1-0 at the half of game 3. The second half started and a great break away from Tane left the defence scrambleing back to goal as Tane crossed the ball into Brooklyn for our seconded goal, the finaly score 2-0 to Melville.

The forth game our last chance of getting into the semi's, but we had to go against the hardest team there... Cambrigde. As always the Cambrigde boys back up their words as they said they'll smash us, a whooping 3-0 lost for Melville canceling any hopes of makeing it into the semi's.

Melville had one more game, 7th - 8th play off. At half time the score was nill all, and it was the same in the second half, but right in the dieing seconds of the game Tane scored a great goal for a 1-0 win to Melville.

The Enemy

In class Mr Willis has been reading us "The Enemy".

So far Deke, and Small Sam have been attacked by the adults, which are called mothers and fathers. They are hiding out at a supermarket which is their safe place, for now.

They have just rescued a small boy from a mob of attacking adults from the outside parking lot. They brought him inside and demanded him to tell them what he was doing, he has just told them about a new safe spot which they are now intrigued in this safe spot.

This book is enjoyable, and I am looking foward to seeing what is going to happen...
