Food Technology - Smoothie Making

On the second day of food technology our teacher Mrs Brown told us that we would be making some healthy smoothies.  We were all excited about making them and quickly read through the list of ingredients and prepared all of the cooking equipment.  We had to put on our aprons so that we didn't get any splashes on our uniforms.

The first thing that we did was measure out the milk and blend up all of the fruit. We were using fresh bananas but you could use different berries or fruit to make it tasty for you.

The next step was to add some ice to the mixture to really cool the smoothie down. Some people in the class like eating ice and we had to make sure they didn't eat it before we could add it to the smoothie. Once the ice was added we had to blend it again to crush up all the ice.

After the ice was all crushed up we evenly shared it amongst the member of our group and enjoyed our creation

Cheers!!
The final step was to clean up after ourselves and put away all the dishes.... "why don't we have a dishwasher??"

Melville Adjectives

After brainstorming all the different words to describe our school we used the web based program wordle.net to generate a word cloud.

Monday 10 February 2014

Monday 10th February 1746 Dear diary Today it was very hot there was no wind blowing and there was a clear crystal blue sky but it was actually fun even though I know that I am going to be in this waka for a very long time. I just am overwhelmed that I got chosen to have an experience like this also to be in charge of this waka and guide the followers to where they must go ,and to be sailing around the pacific island in search of a beautiful island to where myself and my tribe will call home. Although I am worried about what kind of food there will and also wondering if there is going to be enough for our journey north. The reason for me leaving is I got selected from Kingi Tuwheromai to find us new land. I am very excited to be on this old piece of smoothly put together wood (the boat). But I am also really worried for my family and how they are going fending for themselves .
