On the night of Halloween four friends were walking down a slippery slope when they saw a bush moving at the bottom… One of the friends said “I think I’m getting scared”

“I know right “another friend said. They slowly tip toed to the bush when one friend wondered where the 4^th friend was. They were anxious. Suddenly out of nowhere they heard a voice in the bush. They were just going to peek but as the leaves rustled they all looked at each other and new something was up. They all circled around the bush and scared there friend.

As Mr Chungingham was getting up. The phone suddenly rang. He slowly walked down the stairs to the phone “hello” he asked questionably.

“Ohhh hi yes I am calling you from the lottery centre. And guess what you have won over 1million dollars.”

“WHAT”

Mr Chungingham sprinted down to the lottery centre to grab his cash. On his way home he was still very depressed because his girlfriend just dumped him. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a pure white person cat sitting on a window stall he looked at the cash he had in his bag.

As I walked in the door of the Candy Land store. I could not believe the smell. It smelt like chocolate, amazing beautiful chocolate. Freshly made with love. Out of the corner was a bright orange string. But guess what it was. A SNAKE and it was real. I ran to the door but there he was blocking the exits I saw an escape root down in the bottom corner of the room. I crawled under the tables. I don’t think they saw me until I ran out from under the table to the little escape root on the ground.

Croc the crocodile was sitting on the soft sand waiting for the beautiful sun to rise. As it was rising people started turning up to the beach. So croc the crocodile went home. Croc forgot to close the door behind him. When he went inside croc noticed a whole lot of bright orange fish rushing through his door. They were knocking over everything they saw. Like the pepper and salt. He swam as fast as he could to close the door he was so relieved. But there was pepper and salt all over the place. Croc could not stop sneezing.

Finally the announcement came. It has been 100 years since the bridge has been bombed. Right now there is only half a bridge standing. a part of the announcement was that they are going to build a bigger and better bridge. They wanted some volunteers to help of course I volunteered we started straight away there were so many cranes and trucks. after about a month it was nearly finished but there was still a lot to go . Suddenly all you could hear was rumbling. Out of the corner of my eye a whole lot of water smashed over the bridge.

As we were setting up for prep. We had to help eachother get there stalls ready. If we helped other stalls we got 50 misms each to add to our budget. Chirah raced to ask how long we had left. She sprinted back with only ten minutes to go. The chew chew chews rushed to get there product but someone has moved them. We all ran around asking where the chilly bin has gone the all said they don’t know where they went. All of a sudden out of the corner of my eye I saw our red chilly bin finally we can make a start.

Dear world leaders

Lucy, from western Kenya, Desperately needs to go to school to interact with people her own age and to get a good education. That is my opinion. If you don’t agree with me because of her disability. Well these days’ schools and doctors provide immunisations. So if Lucy goes to school Lucy won’t pass it on to any other student. So Lucy can learn new things and find new friends. If Lucy’s family is unable to get her to school. Alot of schools now have their own bus or other form of transportation. Please support Lucy’s cause.

Abbie, Scott and Mitchell were relaxing in the car until… SMASH!!! It felt like they hit a powerpole they quickly sat up and looked around nothing had happened. Still shakily searching around themselves they looked at their parents Shirley and Rik were still happily driving. “You alright there kids” asked Shirley there mum. “Ummm yea” answered Abbie. “What was that smash” questioned Scott. There mum answered them but some of the word sounded like a foreign language. “She meant it must have been your movie that you were watching” said their dad. ”ohhh” they all answered. “No wonder” mumbled Mitchell.

It was a lovely sunny day as i was walking home from school suddenly from behind some bushes i heard some little barking noises and scracthing sounds. Imagine my surprise when i found a box with four little puppies in it behind the bush! It looks like they were just born i wondered wha would happen if i left them there? I would regret it so i picked up the box and carried them home. I showed my parents. I gave them some food and water. I put them on a blanket to keep them warm then mum said to take them to the vet. The veternerian said that most of them just had scratches and bruises but one of them had a broken leg so it had to stay there over night. A week later we found a home for them we made sure they looked after them and they were all cared for very well in the end.

“But I thought I had enough time to do it Mr McMillon” mumbled Hannah “well you didn’t now go to detention you have double homework next week”

“NOOO!” please I will really do whatever you want”

“Whatever I want really, no no stop making me think that Hannah now leave” yelled Mr McMillon. Hannah slumped over and slowly walked to the door “hurry up” screamed Mr McMillon. Hannah sprinted to the office the principal asked why she was in here so Hannah told him the whole story about Mr McMillon and the homework the principal mumbled “it’s alright know problem”.

“Look up can you see it” said Hannah shakily pointing up to a bug in the corner of the shady room. John (Hannah’s brother) mumbled “what! What is it”

 “I don’t know! it  looks like a bug and a human mixed together help I’m scared” said Hannah “come on john your my older brother you should know what to do get a blanket” said Hannah. John sprinted down to the cupboard he grabbed the first thing he saw, a blanket “.Hurry!!!” yelled Hannah still sitting in the room. John chucked the blanket over the bug and suffocated it to death.

rippa rugby tournament

Just as March started Melville's rippa team got together and begun practising.  For a week and a half we did drills during our lunch time getting ready for our tournament that was on Thursday the 6th of March.

It was the day. The day that we had to play our best. Our first game was against St Joseph's Red. We lost that game because we were practising the wrong rules but it was only our first game so we all held our head up high and hoped for the best for the rest of the games.

Our next game was against Gordenton B. Finally we won our first game. We all worked well together as a team even the boys shared the ball to the girls a lot in the game. A lot of us got a try. Me, Luke, Chilo, Jackson and Drasan all got a run away try.

The next games were against Gordenton A, Te Kowhai B, Te Kowhai A and St Joseph's Black and guess what, we won those games as-well. Because of that we made it to the finals where we versed St Joseps Red again. We all were tired but we sucked it up. Sadly we lost the finals but we still made it to Regional's.

Me and my family were planning to go shopping so we did. I told my parents I was going to the toys. I made my way to the toys with my brother Mitchell. I saw a toy dog in the corner. There was a sticker on its paw and it said (try me) so I pushed it. I heard a growling sound that was coming from it I was getting scared I thought it would never stop then it started barking by that time I was freckling out so I ran until I found my parents. Then the noise stopped.

It was the day of the Halloween night. The first victim came to the front door. I heard the next victim coming close behind. I swooped out of the window. I was waiting silently behind them I tapped his shoulder. He slowly turned around he looked confused because he saw nothing there. Then suddenly right then smack dam I dove my eyes right into his face there was no movement from him for about five seconds. Out of his horrifying mouth was a terrifying scream I felt like I was in a horror movie and that’s why people love Halloween.

We were on our way to find a colorful pot for my non stop growing tomatoes. When we got to the door they slowly creaked open.  We walked around boring old pots for hours. Until I ran into the brightest and coolest pot in the world it was a old pot with red and black patterns and a face to go with it. My brother was tapping me and pointing up in the sky but it wasn’t anything in the sky  there were legs surrounding the plant in the middle to keep them up right when they grow really big.

I woke up it was 1:00 in the morning I heard thunder I ran to the window and then I saw a bright light I got thrown to the ground the force of the light was to strong finally it stopped saw something fly over me I sprinted to my mum and dad I said “I think someone’s outside we slowly tiptoed out the door. I was holding the flash light I felt my hands shaking I saw a shadow in the distance it was something small stomping towards us. it said “we are hear to take over the world”…

2D to 3D minecraft

It was finally time for us to go on our favorite train ride. We drove up the road. And it was there the famous New Zealand train. We jumped on. It was a casual ride. Then as the train entered the tunnel it suddenly stopped, it began shaking everyone was panicking. No one knew what going on. But out of nowhere a zombie jumped out from under the train it tried smashing the window but it was too weak. The train drivers started up the train as fast as he could then we were off. the zombie was left behind.

Weekend recount

It was the last quarter of my netball game when I got punched in the face by my opposition and it felt like they nearly broke my nose. I was needed in the game so i carried on playing. Finally the game was over. I didn’t want to miss Scott’s game. So I quickly ran to the car. It was a quick drive to the Melville high school. Luckily I only missed about 10 minutes. It was 0-0 when I got there. But the scores kept going up and by the time the game had finished Melville was winning 32-0.

Neco was staving when he suddenly saw something purple in the corner of the fridge. It was an apple. He couldn’t resist it. So he took a huge bite. He felt his legs getting shorter. The next thing he knew was that he had shrunken from eating that apple. He went to explore the outside world. He was never allowed to go outside. But because he could fit in the doggie door. By the time he got back his parents locked it. So he went for a long walk to find a big house to live in. he found a huge sandcastle at the beach.
