school holiday

School holidays
Yay, finally it is the school holiday waiting for it to come and now it the day. During week two of the school holiday was at my aunties house practicing my Tongan dance.

During week two of the school holiday I was at my aunties house practicing my dance with my cousin and It was fun, my little cousin was practicing his dance with his dad and they practiced with the stick they made. At 6:00 at night we went to my auntie’s church to learn some more move to the dance. I felt special because I was the youngest one in the dance and I got to make some moves for the dance, after we had practice there was a big feed that people were going around telling us to come and have something so that was cool and I liked it.

When we went home to my auntie’s house, everyone went to sleep.  My uncle and cousin were still at work and came back at 12:00 in the night. The next day we practice all day because on Friday was the day to perform by temple few, I had lots of fun practicing, then the day came to performing at the temple. But before performing everyone had to make some food so we can eat it and then do my performance. I had fun doing the dance and I liked my costume that  my auntie’s made for me also my cousin because he done rose on my skirt and in different kinds of colours.

On Friday night after home and away we went to the temple, my cousin and I was still getting dress also in a rush because it was time to go. In the car doing our hair we were moving around    making everyone squish it was funny and hilarious. We finally got there and there was lots of food on the table and in fact there three table’s full of salad, drinks and big it was yummy and nice I wish I had some now. After an hour it was time for my group to perform, we went to a room to get dress and that took us properly 4 minutes then we had to put lots of oil on us. we went to line up in the hall way and waited until we got called in then finally  they called us in then we lined up in the big hall.

I had lots of fun and got lots of money, I liked my dance that happened and wish I could do one again.

“Please don’t make me do this” Sally begged.
“You think I want to be out here in the hot sun?” I growled.

We were in the middle of nowhere dragging a motor bike up and down hills trying to find a gas station. My heart was beating incredibly fast.
“I need some water” Sally begged.
“Wait until we get up the hill” I replied
“look” Sally panted.
Just up ahead was an old brick house. When we reached the house Sally ran up to the door and knocked… a couple of minutes later an old man answered the door. “Can I help you?”
We were saved.

R.S.A

                                             R.S.A IN TE AWAMUTU
Last week I stayed at my aunty Kasey’s house with my little cousins Promise who is 9yrs old, Faith who is 10yrs old and Dallas who is only 5yrs old. Rod who lived in the end of the house said that all 6 of us were going to his favorite place called the R.S.A on Thursday. I didn’t know what is an R.S.A was so I asked my aunty and she said it was like half pub, auction, restaurant. On Thursday I was excited to go to the R.S.A because he said that we were allowed to order whatever we wanted for dinner and desert. When we got there we ordered as quickly as we could so we didn’t have to wait for at least an hour. My cousins and I all ordered the same thing. We all got chicken burgers, and for desert we had pavalova and ice cream. We danced all night and sang different songs like country road and West Virginia. We bought two or five raffle tickets every single round but we had bad luck on each one. When I looked at the time it was midnight and so my little cousins started getting tired so my aunty said that it was time to go home. That was the end of the story of what I did last Thursday.

Master Of The Books

Master of the Books by James Moloney

I ended up scanning the library searching for a book by James Moloney (author), at lunch.

The story came with two brothers (Marcel, Fergus) and a sister (Nicola). They belonged to King Pelham. Marcel was the master of the books as a sorcerer, Fergus was a great swordsman and Nicola was the princess.
Fergus had a curse that when he’s older he will try to kill his father.  Marcel realised that Fergus wasn’t King Pelham’s son, Fergus’s real father was Damon.
Damon was a betrayer to Elster (King Pelham’s island), he poisoned the queen that everybody loved.
One character will not see the story’s end.

Extreme Edge

Extreme Edge
“It’s huge” Jaykib said as we entered Extreme Edge. We had just arrived with the safe and happy club and we were sitting in a huge room waiting for instructions on what to do next. The instructor came in and started telling us how to put your harness on, she also told us that this was the Adult climbing room and that we would be climbing in the kids climbing room on the other side of the building. I was glad because the rock climbing walls looked really hard in here; they went up really high up the wall and then moved onto the roof.
“If you are 12 or older can you please come up and get a black harness” the instructor said to us. A couple of people went up and grabbed a black harness. There weren’t many kids older than 12. “Can the rest of you come up and get a blue or red harness, if they are too big make a line and we will tighten them for you please don’t tighten it yourselves”. I went up and grabbed a small res harness I went and joined the line and waited for my harness to be tightened.
We moved on into another room this room had all these climbing walls they were nothing like the ones in the Adult room. The instructor told us to sit down next to one of the walls she showed us how to hook ourselves in and how to un hook ourselves, “if you let go of the hook before you hook it to the ground come and get one of the Extreme Edge crew and we will get it back down” the instructor told us.
I tried out all of the rock climbing walls but I only made it up five of them. My brother however made it up all of them, so did my friend Emma.  The hardest one out of all the rock climbing walls was the dinosaur’s skeleton; it was the hardest because you really had to think about where you put your hands and feet.
Overall I had a great time and I can’t wait until next holidays.
