Melville's Got Talent - Makere and Wiremu

On Wednesday 10th July 2013 Melville Intermediate School held their 2013 Talent Quest, 'Melville's Got Talent'.   This was held in our school hall during the evening.  There were a variety of acts performing on the night including some hugely talented musicians.  One of the outstanding performances was Wiremu and Makere from Room One who performed 'Impossible'.

Melville's Got Talent - Memphis

On the 11th of July Melville Intermediate School held their annual Talent Show, Melville's Got Talent.  We had a huge range of acts and performances on the evening and a packed out audience.  This is the performance of Memphis from Room Seven singing 'Just Give me a Reason'.  Filmed on Wednesday 10th July 2013 by Manish from Room Five.

As I was scrolling down the page on my Facebook page there were photo's of my cousin on the field at her school. still looking for pictures, there was knock at my door. On my way to open the door  there was no one there and it happened to the same thing to my next door neighbour, and the old lady was angry. In fact she was so angry she blamed her two kids, they still did it and made the lady   called the coops. And  now there parents will not let them go anywhere.

As day time falls and becomes night and all you can hear is a little girl’s screaming for freedom. As she sprints for her life to get out. But she goes to stop when she had heard her mum and dad saying they want to kill her. She sneaks to push the rusty gate creaked open.

 Than her mum and dad heard the gate creaking, then they started to sprint. But she was already off in the distance and they were furious. She was screaming with excitement. Her mum and dad had a plan to find her, and kill her.  

Life education

Our class has been lucky enough to take part in the Life Education Trust program. We have been learning about climbing the ladder from childhood to adulthood. We have also been learning about differnt drugs and how they affect your brain.

We learned that you should delay your decision to try drugs. We also learned about the web of addiction. It tells you about people that got hooked on drugs at age 13-15 ( High School). People sometimes get peer pressured into doing drugs and alcohol.

In the peak of night the rusty gate creaked as the gate slammed open. The SCAREST PLACE IN TOWN   THE GRAVEYARD!. Legend says that the graveyard is HAUNTED.  It looked like something had always never been in the haunted graveyard. The 10 years later a zombie cracked a hole in the ground of the graveyard and then he cased Blake up and down the haunted graveyard. Then Blake hide in the bottom of grave he was so scared that he went home crying. So the zombies followed Blake to his house the streets were dark and ran to the lighthouse.

MY first time man hunt in the dark. I started counting down, 20 19 18 17… 3 2 1, I turned my back quickly and faced nothing but evaporating light, “ready or not here I come”, as I announced to my friends, I crept through the archway my eyes glooming into darkness, I heard movement coming from the other side of the house, I sneakily trudged to the other side of the creepy house, I slowly slithered past the tall lonely door, the rusty gate creaked noisily as I stepped into the wicked house, “got you ,” as I shouted.

As I’m walking me head an old rusty gate creaked as.  I was some tempted to see what was behind it. I’m sneaked thought the gate as I’m walking I can feel a cool brass flying pass me it an invisible dog flying pass me. I can feel the sand it’s like soft mud in my toes bag what was that I think to myself what was that I’m running buy wait I’m not moving was going on. Help help I don’t want to did I’m only 12 years old but what I’m moving I’m running but ahhhh help me.

9^th may 2013. I was playing basketball with my friends I accidently threw our orange basketball over an old rusty gate I was worried they all pushed me and said go do it swallowed   and shivered then the rusty old gate creaked I leaped back the boys said go get it I walked in and rang the bell no one answered then the gate slammed I ran and jammed my foot into the gate just before  it shuts for good then tugged and tugged and it went louse and I opened it and ran home and then I woke up.

As I approach the scary old crusty house I had a feeling in my gut that something was going to go wrong.  I then turned around and yelled at my friend “why” he just rolled his eyes at me and had that cheeky smirk on his face the only reason why I wanted to go in was to prove my point that I’m not scared of anything. The rusty gate creaked and my heart was beating faster than a tornado and a hurricane united together, I started to hallucinate and see things, I knew it was over, good bye world.

Today was a good day for a swim so after 2minutes of deciding it was time to go I decided to go to Taupo beach at the resort my parent’s had come to the resort many times when I was younger as I pulled up to the driveway I open the gate the gate the rusty gate creaked open I have so many   memories of the resort I remember when mum cried when she thought something was in the house. I’m a go grab my ball at old man Jenkins hose he’s most likely dead hmm hello is anyone here.

It was a very good night to play soccer. My friend accidently kicks the ball to MR Creepy’s house. His house is like an old house from the 40’s. My friends push me to get the ball. When they told me to get the ball my body was shaking and my heart was beating fast than ever. Suddenly the rusty gate creaked open and I sneaked in. Some kids went in there and never return. When I stepped into his house there was skeleton everywhere, blood on shoes, I turn around and ran back but there was no way out.

I heard lots of rumors about this dark grey and pale house. Whoever go’s in there never returns. But THE RUSTY GATE CREEKED as I looked around to’ see if anybody was at home, I had felt like someone was following me and had felt like he was choking me, I paused he had stopped. I looked behind me and the person behind me was completely gone. When it was 5:00pm everybody was inside, doors locked, windows closed and the curtains, lights out, kids and adults all in one bed.  Wondered why they were scared.

Why? Why am I the chosen one? The one to enter that rotten spruce house owned by Nelly the smelly man. So old with goblin ears, He never opens his windows and curtains, his windows are all covered in mold. I heard stories about teenage kids who would enter the house and will in a blink of an eye. As I walked up the sideway to the creepy house, I happened to stop near a rusty gate, it was one of old man Nelly’s house gates. As I walked in the rusty gate creaked something felt strange way too strange.

The rusty gate creaked like a child screaming as I swung it open and slipped though. The hair on the back of my head turned into a hedgehog. I think to myself what is going to be on the other side of this door. I grappled the brass gargoyle knocker and tapped it three times, I didn’t what to find out what was on the other side my worst nightmares come to life. But it was a strange old man.
“Hello little child would you like to come in”
“Umm no thanks I got to go”
“Oh what a shame”

It was a windy dark night. I was walking the dog when I tripped and let go of the leash. The dog slipped through the bars of house 19’s gate. The rusty gate creaked as I opened and slipped through. Walking towards the house the gravel made a real loud noise. There was a tall pine tree in the distant that would scare me as if some guy was lurking quietly in the shadows. Searching high and low for the dog I found him roaming around. As I was leaving I notice the lights on the top floor turned on….

My breath was low and we had to stop, the night guard was coming, and he was coming fast. It was over he had us.

‘You’re in for it now, lucky for there’s some freshly dug holes waiting for you, is there any last words to put on your gravestones!!”

The gate is rusty from the rain because it gets wet like the house on fire and so like if I’m in the house and on fire it won’t be cool because I will be in danger because I will in the house when it’s on fire I’m properly going to get save from the fire people it will be cool because I will get saved from the fire man but it was cool because I did not have to get to the hospital it would not be good.

Gate was old and I felled scare me. I feel sad.

As the sun slowly passed by my friends and I played spotlight. Once the time hit 6:00 at night my friends hid away from me and waited. It was dark as a bat they fell down a hole

With Goosebumps. Creeping through the path they felt a hand touch their feet, then they 

 Started Screamed down the path running away while the rusty gate creaked. When I was looking around for my friend I heard someone say “HELP” that sounded like a monster. I was scared to move while my friends were still then they got out.

I fell down a trap! It was fully dark all I could see was red eyes. My heart was beating!! I heard footsteps coming towards me I saw a ladder in the corner. I ran to the ladder I slithered up. But I was still in the trap I was still lost I still couldn’t see. for a second I thought I was in another world felt dizzy I woke up my eyes blinking the next thing I knew it  was all a dream.

I entered the gloom, the rusty gate creaked!!! My face turned pale, a shiver ran down my cranked spine. The wind smoothed my skin in thin air. A figure appeared, it was as blank as the blue sky. “W-What was it?” I stammered to myself, then the mist disappeared. I relised it was a reflection of myself in a mirror. My head bursted like a volcano. “Why was a mirror standing in front of me!?” Something struck my mind, I looked behind me, a cottage? A worried look came across me. “Where did this cottage come from???...” I entered

“I’m cold” Sally complained as a cold wind blew around us. It was midnight and we were sneaking around a creepy cemetery. We had been sneaking around for about twenty minutes when, we reached an old rusty gate. Sally and I tried shoving the gate but it wouldn’t budge. Then all of a sudden the rusty gate creaked open, Sally and I slipped through the opening. It was as cold as Antarctica. I shivered. After a while we came across an old wooden shed. “Should we go in?” Sally asked.                                                                                                                                                        “Sure” I whispered. As we stepped inside. The door slammed shut behind us.

It was getting dark when I heard a scream coming from next door.

It was little Alice, her dress was stuck in the rose bush.

Everyone voted me to go. "Why did I have to go?"

It was as dark as a bears cave, the rusty gate creaked as I walked slowly to the path. It was like a narrow arrow on the ground.

I sneaked around to find where Alice was.

It was hard to keep quiet with the stones moving underfoot. Then suddenly I walked straight into something, I looked up and saw a man staring at me…

Melville vs Fairfield Inline Hockey

Yesterday I was part of the Inter Intermediate team that went to the Inline Hockey competition.  Our first game was against Fairfield Intermediate. It was a hard game even though it was our first game we did pretty good. I had never played inline hockey before so had to get use to skating and playing all at the same time.  Everyone was falling over during the first half but we slowly got use to it.  It was a lot of fun and the video is below.

I was putting my rubbish in to the bin. Than it started to talk to me, But I couldn’t describe what it was saying, it was speaking baby language.

I was starting to walk back until it started to follow me like a little baby duck that was strange because people were looking at me.

When I got home it followed me into the house. I got the biggest fright. When it started to copy me like a mirror, but smaller.

  It is so cute that I had to adopted it because it was the most special thing to me.

On a Saturday morning my family and I got up, and then went to the beach for a picnic. We were at Raglan for the whole day and it was lots of fun. There was a tall building with binoculars that you have to put money in it.  My sister and I went wondering around trying to look for them while my brother was jumping off the bridge. My Mum and dad were sitting down  watching me and my sister looking through the binoculars so then they came along with us and we all had some fun.

Inter-Intermediate Hockey

Tomorrow, 2nd July is the Inter-Intermediate Inline Hockey competition at Dey Street. There are two students from Room 6 who will be competing. Good luck to everyone involved and we look forward to the pictures and video that will follow.
